A picker, when you want to browse
1,906 emojis, searchable by name, shortcode or emoticon. Your most-used come first and follow you to every Chrome you sign in to.

Out of the way by default
Silent on Slack, Discord and GitHub, which already do this. One checkbox to disable any other site, or all of them.

Why it asks for permission on every site
To offer a suggestion while you type in any text field, the extension has to run in any text field. Chrome describes that as access to all websites, which sounds far bigger than what actually happens.
What it does: watches for a colon in the field you are typing in.
No account
There is nothing to sign up for.
No servers
There is no backend to send anything to.
No analytics
Not even anonymous. No telemetry of any kind.
No history leaves
Your emoji history syncs through your own Chrome account.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes, and the emoji features stay free. If a paid tier ever arrives it will be for heavier text-snippet features, and it will not take anything away from what you already have.
Why does it need access to all websites?
Because "any text field" means any site. It watches for a colon while you type and does nothing else. No servers, no analytics, nothing leaves your browser.
Does it work in Gmail, X and Notion?
Yes. Those are the hard ones, because they keep their own internal model of your text. Most of the engineering went into inserting text the way each editor expects, so nothing gets duplicated or dropped.
What about Slack and Discord, which already do this?
We stay out of the way there by default, so you never get two menus fighting each other. One toggle if you want ours anyway.
Will it slow down my browsing?
No. It is 280 KB and does nothing at all until you type a colon in a text field.
Can I turn it off on one site?
One checkbox in the popup, per site. Or switch suggestions off everywhere and keep just the picker.
Do my emojis sync between computers?
Your frequently-used list and settings sync through your own Chrome account, the same way your bookmarks do. We never see them.
