For people who post professionally
Type emojis in LinkedIn posts and comments
LinkedIn posts live and die on formatting, and the composer gives you one small emoji button. If you write posts regularly, you are clicking that button more than you are thinking.
What that costs you today
Bullet-style posts need the same handful of emojis constantly
The comment box has no picker at all in some layouts
Emojis pasted from elsewhere sometimes lose the variation
Formatting a post takes longer than writing it
The same thirty seconds, twice
Monday's post is written; it needs the ๐ and three ๐ list markers formatted in.
With the composer button
- 01 Click the smiley at the bottom of the composer
- 02 Search the panel for rocket, click it
- 03 Repeat the whole trip for every pointer in the list
Three separate picker trips for one post.
With Emoji Anywhere
- 01 Type :rocket, press Enter
- 02 Type :point_right at each list line
The formatting pass takes seconds, not minutes.
What you would type instead
:rocket โ ๐ the LinkedIn house style
:bulb โ ๐ก for the insight line
:point_right โ ๐ list markers
:: โ your frequent emojis the four you always use

Where it works on LinkedIn
- โ Posts. The main composer, with the formatting emojis LinkedIn posts lean on.
- โ Comments. Including the layouts where LinkedIn gives comments no picker at all.
- โ Messages. Same shortcodes in DMs.
Make it yours
:dm โ DM me and I will send it over ๐ฉ The line you type under every post can be a custom code. So can your booking link or your newsletter pitch. Anything you type daily belongs behind a shortcode.
If you write the same shape of post every week, custom shortcodes save more than emoji do: :sig: can expand to your whole closing line.
Questions
Does it work in comments and messages, not just posts?
Yes. The post composer, comment boxes and messaging all take the same shortcodes.
Will LinkedIn or recruiters know I use it?
No. The emojis it inserts are ordinary Unicode characters, indistinguishable from picker ones, and the extension sends nothing anywhere.
Can it handle my whole sign-off, not just an emoji?
Custom shortcodes expand to any text you define. A :sig code can produce your entire closing line, emoji, link pitch and all.
